Priority List

Complete Our Puppy Application to be added to the Priority List HERE

Your place begins here.

Our Priority List is for families who know a Homegrown Heartmender is in their future and want priority when it comes time to choose their puppy.

A $200 retainer secures your place on our Priority List. When puppies become available, Priority List families choose first, in the order their retainers were received.

Any puppies remaining after Priority List selections are complete may then be offered publicly.

You don’t have to wait until the perfect litter arrives to get in line.

In fact, that’s the whole point.

How It Works

Join the Priority List

A $200 retainer secures your position on our Priority List and is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.

Your Priority List position begins on the date your retainer is received.

Your Place Is Your Place

Puppy selection is offered in Priority List order, based on when retainers were received.

The earlier you join, the earlier your opportunity to choose when a litter you’re interested in becomes available.

Waiting until you see the puppy may mean other Priority List families already have the opportunity to choose ahead of you.

Puppies Are Chosen at 6 Weeks

We don’t ask families to choose their puppy when they’re only a few weeks old.

By six weeks, we’ve had more time to watch each puppy grow, interact and begin showing us a little more about who they are.

When your turn arrives, you’ll choose from the puppies available to you based on your Priority List position.

Choosing Your Puppy

Choosing your puppy is something we’ll do together.

Your preferences matter — whether you’re drawn to a particular color, sex, look, personality or simply feel a connection to one puppy over another.

By six weeks, we’ve also had the privilege of spending every day with these puppies. We’ll share what we’ve observed about their personalities, confidence, activity levels, interactions and developing temperaments to help you make the most informed decision possible.

We aren’t here to choose your puppy for you.

We’re here to listen to what matters to you, answer your questions honestly, share what we know about each puppy and help you think through your decision.

Sometimes the puppy that first catches your eye will still be the one you choose. Sometimes learning a little more about the puppies will lead you in a completely different direction.

Either way, the final choice is yours from the puppies available at your turn.

Your desires matter. Our experience is here to help.

Because finding your Heartmender should feel less like being assigned a puppy — and more like discovering which one feels like home.

What If My Puppy Isn’t in This Litter?

That’s okay.

Joining our Priority List isn’t about taking the first puppy available. It’s about securing your place while waiting for the puppy that feels right for your family.

Your Priority List retainer remains active for up to two years from the date you join. During that time, you may pass on a litter or available puppy without losing your original Priority List date.

We breed living things, not inventory. Color, sex, size, eye color and other traits can never be guaranteed before a litter arrives, and sometimes the puppy you’re waiting for simply isn’t born in the next litter.

We would much rather you wait for the right puppy than choose one simply because your turn has arrived.

At the end of the two-year period, an unused Priority List retainer expires and is non-refundable.

Homecoming Begins at 10 Weeks

Our puppies remain with us through at least 10 weeks of age.

Those additional weeks give us valuable time for continued development, routine, enrichment and preparation before the very big transition from our home to yours.

While many puppies legally can leave earlier, we’ve chosen a later homecoming because we believe those extra weeks are valuable.

It’s simply part of the way we raise our puppies.

A Few Important Details

Your $200 Priority List retainer:

• Establishes your Priority List position
• Is applied toward your puppy’s purchase price
• Remains active for up to two years
• Allows you to pass while waiting for the right puppy without losing your original Priority List date
• Gives you puppy-selection priority before remaining puppies are offered publicly

Priority List retainers are non-refundable and expire two years from the date received if a puppy has not been selected.

Joining the Priority List does not guarantee that a particular color, sex, size, eye color or other physical characteristic will be produced. Mother Nature still gets a vote around here.

Once a puppy has been selected, that puppy is considered reserved for your family and our regular reservation and purchase terms apply.

Why Join Before Puppies Arrive?

Because Priority List order doesn’t begin when a litter is born.

It begins when you join.

Families who already know they’d like one of our puppies don’t have to compete for a place when a much-anticipated litter arrives.

They already have one.

And when several families fall in love with the same puppy, selection order matters.

The Priority List gives you something simple:

Your place. Your turn. Your choice.

With us beside you to help.

Ready to Join Us?
