Hip health is influenced by both genetics and environment. While responsible breeding plays an important role, factors such as nutrition, growth rate, exercise, and overall care during puppyhood also contribute to healthy joint development.

Hip, Elbow & Eye Protocols
Many of our breeding dogs have received OFA evaluations and certifications. Due to experiencing inconsistent value and financial burden in this process, we have set our protocol to invest in direct veterinary sedated examinations for accurate health evaluations of hips and elbows.
●Hips & Elbows: Moving forward, all future breeding parents will be evaluated by our personal veterinarian.
●Eye Exams: At the same time, we recognize the importance of thorough eye health evaluations in the breed. For that reason, all of our dogs’ eye exams (performed by a certified ophthalmologist) will continue to be submitted to OFA for official CAER certification.
✔️This approach allows us to:
●Maintain continuity of care with the veterinarian who knows our dogs best
●Ensure that health decisions are based on real outcomes rather than paperwork alone
●Prioritize eye health by submitting certified ophthalmology results to OFA.
●Keep the focus on raising sound, healthy, and well-adjusted companions
